Mark
created Lava Cable in May 2004 just prior to deploying to
Afghanistan. He is a native of Santa Barbara, California and a graduate of the University of Utah, along with being a
school-trained, mil spec certified electronic assembler, having worked on numerous
multi-million dollar government contracts to include building
every part of the
AN/ALQ
184 Radar Jamming Pod currently being used on Air
Force aircraft. Mark is currently a career Army Officer stationed at Ft. Bragg North Carolina. He has spent more than 24 years in
the Army, serving in Air Defense, Infantry, Logistical Support, and
Special Forces units. He also has been a semi-professional guitarist and vocalist for more
than 28 years. In 1995 he was named "Best Guitarist" at an
all-Army battle of the bands. Mark's gear consists of a Bogner
Shiva EL34 Head w/reverb and matching 1x12 cab, a Koch TwinTone II combo, Fuchs
Triple Drive Supreme 50, a custom made 2x12 cabinet loaded with MojoTone BV30H speakers, a modified Mesa Boogie Mark IV combo (JJ
tubes/EVM12L speaker), Clyde Deluxe Wah, Xotic BB preamp, Xotic
RC Booster, Keeley Compressor, Arion Sch-Z Chorus Mod,
Sweetsound Mojovibe, Tom Anderson Cobra S, and an American made Fender Stratocaster modified with
Lindy Fralin
pickups.
